VACCINE PREVENTIVE CANCER AWARENESS CLASS

Cancer existed for all of human history. Society considers cancer as the disease that cannot be cured. Annual cancer cases grow by 23.6 million people and there were 10 million deaths worldwide representing once the previous decade increases of 26% and 21% respectively. Today cancer is regarded as a disease that must be fought to an end. The basic foot step to fight against cancer is to change our lifestyle, especially our food pattern.

Dr. Lovely S Livingston, Assistant professor community medicine department PKDIMS conducted an awareness session on vaccines preventable cancers. The welcome is addressed by Ms. Majitha. The session focused on HPV infections and preventive measures with an indigenous vaccine. The topics discussed were basics of HPV, classification of HPV types, HPV and cervical cancer, CERVAVAC and clinical data summery. The students benefited from the session and they become aware of general measures to prevent the cancer and preventive vaccines of cancer. Vote of thanks speech was by Ms. Lakshmi .K.shamej.
