MEDICAL CAMP AT Govt BLIND SCHOOL KANNIYAMPURAM OTTAPPALAM
Having to deal with sight loss or low vision is merely one of the challenges that the visually impaired are facing when living life. The lack of accessibility for the visually impaired is central to a number of the issues the blind or low visual individuals face. The health care providers have the responsibility to protect & to provide the necessary health care to the vulnerable people in the society
In coordination with Lakkidi Primary health center the 4th year BSc Nursing students had conducted a health camp at Govt Blind School Ottappalam on 21st July 2022. Mrs. K Janaki Chairperson Lakkidi had done the inauguration of the camp. With the guidance of Dr. Sabu Medical officer Lakkidi PHC & staff nurses & lab technicians of Lakkidi PHC our students have done anemia screening , skin assessment , dental screening , general assessment & covid vaccination to the students there. They could rule of around ten students over there with different health issues. They were advised for the proper follow up. This kind of events & actions enhances the social commitment of the students & need a great appreciation
