Kaolin 2019 – A National level short film festival
Kaolin 2019 a National level short film festival was conducted by the Department of Visual Communication in Viscom Theater at Nehru arts and Science College on 18.02.2019. The fest was inaugurated by famous director and cinematographer Mr.Shamdat Sainudheen, He is a famous Indian cinematographer from Kerala who have shot many films in Malayalam, Telegu, and Tamil including Premayanamaha, The Tiger, Kerala Café, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu and Uttama Villain. His directorial debut film was “street lights” in Malayalam starring Megastar Mammoty released in 2018. He has also worked as cinematographer in many popular films like Vishwaroopam 2 , Teja Bhai And Family, Ritu , Seasons, Ayal Njanalla and Oozham.
Dr.Prasanth Koothoor Head department of visual communication welcomed the gathering and the presidential address was given by Dr.P.Krishnakumar, CEO and Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions. Dr.B.Anirudhan, Principal of Nehru Arts and Science College felicitated the gathering.
Suryakanth.U ( Actor- Malayalam Film industry), Gokul nandan ( Asst cameraman- Malayalam Film industry), Ajay Prabhakar (Assistant Cinematographer), alumnis of this department shared the stage with the chief guest and shared their views and experience with the students.
