Pongal Celebrations 2019 – NGI Coimbatore

Thai Pongal is a harvest festival dedicated to the Sun God. It is a four-day festival which according to the Tamil calendar is usually celebrated from January 14 to January 17. Thai Pongal corresponds to the harvest festival celebrated throughout India.

NGI has celebrated pongal festival on 12.01.2019 morning in the campus. Dr.K.Krishna kumar CEO& Secretary NGI, with Principal of various Colleges, were the Chief Guest for the special day. Pongal competitions conducted for the students were: Pongal Preparation, Rangoli, Kabadi, Uri ady, Folklore songs and dance. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
