Prarambh 2K18 – Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre
Prarambh 2K18 a technology enlightenment program for school students was conducted at Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre campus, Pampady, Thiruvilwamala, Thrissur on November 30,2018. The program was organised with an aim of imparting the latest trends of engineering branches to school students. The various departments of the college showcased the latest technologies in their respective engineering streams with expos and student projects.
The highlighted events included Pitstop by Automobile department, Augmented World Expo by Computer Science Department, Optical Village by Electronics and Communication department, Ydutheee by Electrical department, LatheWar by Mechanical department and Roboshow by Mechatronics department. Around 1000 students from 15 schools in and around the campus participated in the event.
The program was officially inaugurated by Dr.AmbikadeviAmma T, Principal, NCERC and a motivation session on “Tips for Success” was handled by Dr.MallikaBalakrishnan. The prize distribution for the winners of Essay competition organised by NSS unit of the college as a part of the Children’s Day celebration was also awarded in the same function.
