NIS-FIESTA 2023
NIS-FIESTA 2023, was organized on 28th October 2023 for the students of Grade 4-10 by Nehru International School, Kaliyapuram to provide exquisite learning with the spirit of competition. Mr. K.S.Sivaprakash, Principal of NIS, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest of this grand event was Mr.Jithin Janardhanan, Pianist from Trinity college of Music, London and the Guest of Honour was Prof.Nagaraj, Executive Director, NGI. The fest was inaugurated by Dr.Chaitanya Krishna Kumar., Correspondent NIS &NKA. We were honored to welcome our esteemed Chairman and managing trustee, Dr.P. Krishna Das, our CEO secretary of NGI, Dr. P. Krishna Kumar and Mr. K.S.Sivaprakash, Principal of NIS, Ms.Priya Suresh Headmistress, members of the Student organizing committee, and a large gathering of parents with their children were present to witness the grand event.
In the welcome address the Principal Mr.K S Sivaprakash, said that “ The PESSIMIST sees DIFFICULTY in Every OPPORTUNITY… The OPTIMIST Sees OPPORTUNITY in Every DIFFICULTY”! The chief guest in her address emphasized that the students must participate in their school competitions so that they can achieve a lot. Participation is more essential than just winning. The Guest of Honour Dr. Nagaraja, Executive Director, NGI addressed in his speech that Students should dream on their goals to become a very good person in the society.
Nearly 11 schools, and 230 Students participated and our invitation was accepted and enrolled the students in different category of the events. The events were Art, Craft, Face painting, Drawing and coloring, pot painting, Pencil Shading, Wall hanging, Clay Moulding , Vegetable carving, Solo Song, Group song, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Dumb Charades, Skit , Mime and Culinary. The Students from different schools, got a good platform to exhibit their talent and skills with great enthusiasm and passion in different events which were grouped into different levels like Grade 4 & 5, Grade 6 to 8, Grade 9 & 10.
All the participants prepared zealously to excel in their respective events. They expressed their creativity and imagination through their performance. They were very energetic and their performances were remarkable. Students also gave their best in all the events especially in the Skit. Our students also gave a melodious touch to the singing competition as youth nightingales. Their captivating performances showcased various art forms, including folk dance, classical music and traditional songs. The highlights remained mesmerizing cultural programs presented by talented performers from the region.
It was a proud moment that our NIS, students bagged prizes in all 13 events out of all they participated.
The event was very well organized from NIS school, everything was systematically planned and executed, and the main motto behind this cultural Fest was to bring in a sense of freshness and bind us together to enjoy all the events in celebration of NIS-FIESTA. The competition was an enriching experience for all the participants. Thanks to NIS, for giving us this opportunity and hearty congratulations to all the Prize winners and Good luck to the participants. May all the success that has come their way lead them to bigger achievements in the year to come.
