SEMINAR ON WORLD MALARIA DAY 2023

“According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2020, there were an estimated 241 million malaria cases worldwide, leading to approximately 627,000 deaths, with the majority of the cases and deaths occurring in sub-Saharan Africa. The theme for World Malaria Day 2023 is “Reaching the Zero Malaria Target”. The theme aims to mobilize communities, governments, and partners to accelerate efforts towards the WHO’s global technical strategy for malaria 2016-2030, which aims to reduce malaria cases and deaths by at least 90% by 2030.”

The community health department of Nehru College of nursing had organized a seminar on 25th April 2023 at NCN auditorium with regards to WORLD MALARIA DAY 2023. Prof. Zaina Elizabeth Jose (CHN Dept NCN) welcomed the gathering. Following this an awareness class on Malaria was handled by Mr Nowfel ( Asst Prof CHN Dept NCN ) All the 3rd SEM students were attended the seminar. These kinds of well informative & insightful sessions really help the students to gain more knowledge. The event concluded with a token of gratitude by Mrs Rose Jose ( Asst Prof CHN Dept NCN ).
