Lamp lighting ceremony of 11th batch students

Nurses are the heart of health care. It is not about how much a nurse do , but how much love & effort they  put in doing it. The lamp lighting and oath-taking ceremony is a tribute to “Florence Nightingale — the Lady with the Lamp.” This ceremony initiates students into the noble profession of Nursing. The lamp lighting signifies the firm decision of these young students to be trained to care for the sick and wounded persons.

Nehru college of Nursing organized the lamp lighting ceremony for the 11th batch students on 8th February 2023 at NCN auditorium. The program started with welcome address by Prof  Priya Mary Stella (Vice principal NCN) followed by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Mrs Sumitha Krishnadas (Management representative NGI) addressed the students & conveyed the blessings to have a good start up for the noble profession they have chosen.  All 1st year student lighted the lamp from their teachers which symbolises the flame of hope, service, compassion, peace & a new beginning.  The students vowed to work with dedication by taking the pledge recited by Dr.Prof.Kavitha Mole P J,(  Principal, Nehru College of Nursing.) The programme was ended with vote of thanks by Mrs Shincy K ( Lecturer  Nehru College of Nursing).
