WORLD PATIENT SAFETY DAY 2022
World Patient Safety Day is observed every year on 17 September to create awareness about different safety measures that should be taken to ensure patient safety. The day is celebrated to create global awareness about patient safety, increase or enhance public engagement in patient safety, and create action plans to overcome the issues of patient harm. Acknowledging this substantial burden and recognizing the complexity of medication-related harm prevention and reduction, “Medication Safety” has been selected as the theme for World Patient Safety Day 2022.
Acknowledging World patient safety day 2022 Nehru college of nursing in association with Association of Nurses Executives (India) arranged Patient safety Virtual Conference on 20th Sept. 2022 11 a.m to 5.00pm on Zoom platform for the students on the topic “Medication without harm” . The session was handled by many National and International eminent personalities of health care who have splendid of experience in the field of patient safety & care. The session was very effective for our students who are the upcoming nurses the large group of health care providers in the nation . By this session the students perceived that inappropriate medication use or patient harm while the medication is in the control of the health care professional, & they discerned how to face the challenges while administering medications to the patients.
