ONAM WITH GOLDEN AGERS
NSS units are the essential component of each campus. It helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life. Students also learn other skills that help them lead a better life in various situations. They are socially very much committed & always try to reach their helping hand to the vulnerable in the society.
The NSS volunteers of NCN and Ottappalam Vayomithra unit organized an Onam celebrations for the golden agers on Sep 5th 2022 at Pisharadi auditorium Kanniyampuram . The program was presided over by Mrs. K. Janaki Devi (Ottappalam Municipality chairperson) and was formally inaugurated by Ottappalam MLA Advocate K . Premkumar followed by beautiful speech. MLA Mr. K. Premkumar delivered Onam wishes to all. After formal inauguration there was Thiruvathirakali, folk songs, and other dance programs by NSS team NCN .Apart from this, various kinds of games made the celebration attractive. Nehru college of Nursing NSS volunteers, Vayomithram counsellors and old age people participated in all programs. To add sweetness to this celebrations delicious payasam was given by NSS volunteers to golden agers. The joy of celebration rang out in the hearts of the golden agers that are in the shores of loneliness & sorrow.
