WORLD HEALTH DAY 2022

World health day is celebrated every year to raise awareness about the on-going health issues that concerns people across the world. The day is also used as an opportunity to spread awareness about the overall health & well-being of people. In the midst of a pandemic, a polluted planet, increasing diseases like cancer, asthma, heart disease, on World Health Day 2022, W H O focus global attention on urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy and foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being. The theme for this year’s World Health Day is “Our Planet, Our Health”.

1^st year students of Nehru College of Nursing had got an golden opportunity to be a part of the awareness campaign organized by our parent hospital PKDAS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES on 7^th April 2022.  The official inauguration of the campaign was done by our honourable chairman & managing Trustee Adv Dr. P Krishnadas at PKDIMS. Dr R C Krishnakumar Director operations PKDIMS had done the flag off of the campaign.It was a three day campaign planned to cover the major town areas in Palakkad District  & NCN buds had given their contribution on the 1^st day of the campaign . It comprised of a flash mob conducted by the 1^st year students of NCN & distribution of pamphlet regarding world health day & the health care packages & facilities that are provided in PKDAS Hospital.  On that day the campaign was conducted at major areas of Ottappalam block such as Cherplassery , Vallappuzha , Koppam , Pattambi, Kulappulli, Shornur & Ottappalam. Being the health professionals in  future,  it was a greater start for the First year students to be a part of such a big campaign which is really beneficial to the public.
