Two day International Conference on “INNOVATIONS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY” was organized by Departments of Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology and Computer Technology on3rd & 4th October,2019at Nehru Arts and Science College, Thirumalayampalayam, Coimbatore. The conference was formally inaugurated with the welcomed address by Dr. V. Chitraa,Convener & Dean- Computer Science & Information Technology.Dr N.Kavitha, Organizing Secretary & Head, Department of Computer Science, briefed about the objectives of the conference. Dr.P.Krishna Kumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions presided over the function.Dr.Raja Kumar Murugesan, Associate Professor- CS, Head of Research, Faculty of Innovation & Technology, TAYLOR’S University, Malaysia delivered the inaugural address.Dr.RevathiVenkataraman,Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, SRM Institute of Science & Technology,Chennai, delivered the special address. Dr.B.Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College felicitated the gathering. The Conference Proceeding was released by the delegates.Dr.P.K. Manoj Kumar, Joint Organizing Secretary, and Head, Department of IT & CT and proposed the vote of thanks.
Technical Session-I,was chaired byDr. Raja Kumar Murugesan, Associate Professor- CS, Head of Research, Faculty of Innovation & Technology, TAYLOR’S University, Malaysia. In the keynote address,he discussed“Convergence of AI, IoT and Blockchaining”. In Technical Session-II, Dr.RevathiVenkataraman, Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering,SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai addressed on “Research Challenges in Cyber Security”. Participants from various Colleges presented their papers in the conference. On the second day of the conference, Technical Session-III,was chaired by Dr. Parvathy R,Associate Professor, School of Computer Science & Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, delivered a talk on “Big Data Analysis on Social Networks”. In technical Session- IV, Mr.R.Saravana Kumar, Ex-Director, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Coimbatore, delivered a talk on “Soft skills for Success”.
The conference brought together academicians, researchers, software architects, industry professionals and students to discuss innovative ideas and diverse topics on Innovations in Computer Science and Information Technology.About 100 papers were received from India and other countries.
The conference concluded with Valedictory session. Dr.P.K. Manoj Kumar, Joint Organizing Secretary, and Head, Department of IT & CT welcomed the gathering.Mr. R. Saravana Kumar, Ex-Director, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Coimbatore delivered the Valedictory address. Dr. Raja Kumar Murugesan, delivered special address. Dr. V. Chitraa,Convener presented the report on the conference. The certificates were distributed to all the participants. Dr. N. Kavitha, Organizing Secretary, PG & Research Department of Computer Science, Nehru Arts and Science College proposed the vote of thanks.
