WORKSHOP – HANDS ON SUTURING TECHNIQUES AND AIRWAY MANAGEMENT – PKDIMS

The Academic club- *PRAJNA* in association with *Scientific and Academic forum(SAF)* organized a workshop on,  *’HANDS ON SUTURING TECHNIQUES AND AIRWAY MANAGEMENT’*, supported by *MEDTRONICS*, on *21st of August 2019.*

   *The session was welcomed  by the principal Dr Gopakumaran Kartha sir and adressed by HOD- Anatomy Dr Ramakrishnan Sir,  followed by the briefing of essential required anatomy for the workshop by the resource person Dr Dinesh Babu, Associate Professor Department of General surgery*.  An overview of the suture materials and intubating apparatuses were given by the supporting team. *The seats were limited to 30, for effective utilisation of resources*.

       The event had *stations for suturing techniques and Endotracheal intubation.* Students were paired up into groups and was instructed on the suturing techniques,guided by Dr Dinesh. The other station had *real time experience on mannequin*, guided by the team experts.

          *This marked the second successful venture of Prajna, in conducting a workshop for the UG students and Interns of the institution*. *We hereby thank all those who have supported us to make this event a remarkable one,  especially Dr Dinesh sir, who has kept aside his busy clinical schedules for us.*
