SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME ON POST DISASTER INFECTIOUS DISEASE SURVEILLANCE

Sensitization Programme on Post Disaster Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control was organised by Department of Community Medicine, PKDIMS & WHO Palakkad on 18/9/2018 at PKDIMS, Lecture Hall -1 between 11AM and 1AM.

Main Speakers were Dr. Reetha District medical officer, Palakkad; Dr. Siddalingaiah, Surveillience medical officer, WHO, Dr. Neelakantan Vishwanathan Prof. Dept. of General Medicine and Dr. Ramya MO, CHC, Palakkad.

The was  organised in view of sudden increase in threat of infectious diseases in flood affected areas and aimed in sensitizing doctors regarding the diagnosis, management  and reporting of these diseases. Doctors from various other hospital and clinics participated in programme.

Welcome speech was given by Dr. Gopakumaran Kartha, Principal, PKDIMS and Vote of thanks was made by Dr. Malini Kar, Prof. & HOD, Dept. of Community Medicine.
