Nehru International School orchestrated a grandiose celebration in honor of "International
Women’s Day" on March 12, 2024, at the Nehru International School Auditorium, embracing
the theme "Empower a Woman, Empower a Nation." The event commenced with a
melodious prayer song, setting the stage for an inspiring gathering. Ms. Ayisha, English
Teacher, extended a warm welcome, paving the way for Principal Mr. K.S. Sivaprakash to
delivered a stirring Women's Day Message. In his address, he eloquently depicted the
remarkable evolution of women's roles, from homemakers to trailblazing CEOs, propelled by
the fusion of modernization and cutting-edge technology. Correspondent Dr. Chaitanya
Krishnakumar orchestrated a symphony of appreciation, honoring the esteemed Chief Guest,
Mrs. Shalini Nair, Founder Principal of Kikani Global Academy. Dignitaries introduced Mrs.
Karthika from the Tamil Department as this year's recipient of the Best Teacher Award,
followed by the entire staff receiving tokens of appreciation. The correspondent's keynote
address resounded with a clarion call for collective action, emphasizing the profound
significance of International Women’s Day in advancing gender parity and unleashing
women's potential across diverse landscapes. Mrs. Shalini Nair, in her compelling address,
echoed the sentiment that gender equality is not merely an ideal but an imperative for societal
progress, advocating for inclusive education and lifelong learning to empower women and
girls. The festivities were enriched with enthralling dances and soul-stirring musical
performances, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of womanhood. Amidst the jubilation, there
echoed a solemn commitment to turn words into action, expressed eloquently by the
Headmistress in her heartfelt vote of thanks. The event culminated in a stirring rendition of
the National Anthem, underscoring collective aspirations for a world where every woman's
