Freshers Day | Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology
The Department of Science and Humanities of Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology organized Fresher’s Day-2023 on 11th September, 2023 at P.K Das Auditorium, T.M Palayam, Coimbatore. The function started with Tamilthai Vazhthu and Dr.P. T .Hemamalini HOD of science and Humanities welcomed the gathering on and off the dais.
Honorable CEO &Secretary, NGI, Dr.P.Krishnakumar gave away Presidential address. He welcomed the chief guest and appreciated his achievements and also welcomed the parents, guests and students of 1styear (23-24 academic year).He expressed that there are 22 institutions under NGI and well experienced faculty members to mould the students. He addressed to the students to spend their time in a meaningful way to become entrepreneur/teacher. He added that faculty of NGI and placement cell would train the students for their betterment and encouraged the students to extend their wings by participating in all programmes conducted by NGI.
Dr.P.Maniiarasan Principal, NIET addressed about the achievements of NIET. He stated to use the resources available in our NIET and do the best for nation and society. He also added that the students of NIET were encouraged to come up with startup new innovative ideas -Entrepreneur through New Gen IEDC& TBI. The professors are working towards excellence by not just teaching but also by research in publishing their articles in various reputable journals and forum. He high-lighted that 80% passed out Students placed in reputed companies. He assured to the parents that NGI would definitely mould their children as Quality Engineering Professionals.
Dr.N.Elangovan, Chairman, TIMO EVA Wellness Private Limited, Karnataka was the chief guest of the Fresher’s Day. He started his speech in an enthusiastic way and rejuvenated the audience especially to the students and expressed to the students to be unique in the performance and emphasized the importance of money in the way we handle and use it in our life and gave various examples to the students about the need of education and also discussed about the responsibility of the individual to the make our nation to grow.
H.N.Nagaraja, Executive Director, (Academics & Administration), NGI addressed the necessity of education and motivated the learners to be confidence while learning the concepts and at the same creativity to be developed in the path of pursuing the course.
Student Cabinet Ministers of NIET are introduced by Dr.R.Deepa IQAC Head and the students cabinet welcomed juniors with bouquet to cherish the budding Engineers. The Fresher’s day celebration came to an end with gratitude through vote of Thanks by Dr. A. Tony Dhiwahar Assistant Professor S&H, NIET.
