World Hepatitis Day
On 28 July 2023, World Hepatitis Day is celebrated throughout the world. This year’s theme is “We’re not waiting.” WHD 2023 call to action is to “accelerate elimination efforts of viral hepatitis now and the urgent need for testing and treatment for the real people who need it. Individuals and communities around the world are making change happen in their own lives and in world around them.
The Hepatitis Day celebration was organized on 26th July 2023 , by Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing. Inaugurated and theme was revealed by Principal, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan.G. Felicitation done by Vice Principal, Prof.A. Priya Mary Stella. A speech was done by Jesna II Semester student regarding hepatitis . Then Quiz competition commenced. Quizmaster Miss Sruti.S .had conducted the quiz very methodically. Total 4 groups fom second semester students (total 8 students) participated very actively. The groups were named as Albumin, Globulin, Bilirubin and Alkaline phosphatase. Albumin group consists of Ms Abhaya Suren and Ms Pavithra. M bagged the first prize. The students were benefitted with this programme by gaining knowledge about Hepatitis. Programme concluded with vote of thanks by Ms Rahla Sakeer second semester.
