WORLD THALASSEMIA DAY 2023
On behalf of world thalassemia day semester III Bsc nursing students conducted a seminar on the topic “Thalassemia, to give awareness and knowledge about the disease condition to the nursing students. This year the theme of world thalassemia day is ‘strengthening education to Bridge the Thalassemia Care Gap’. It is an open call to work with global communities in raising awareness about Thalassemia and its possible treatment options.
The programme conducted at NCN auditorium on 8/5/23.The dignitaries on the dice were Dr. Binu Babu(Associate professor, Medical surgical nursing, Nehru college of nursing)Mrs Jincy Ealias , Associate professor, Medical surgical nursing, Nehru college of nursing)Mrs.Sruthi M(Lecturer, Nehru college of nursing)Mrs Lekshmi Devi(Lecturer, Nehru college of nursing),Ms. Meena (Lecturer, Nehru college of nursing).
In this seminar students discussed about the definition, types, signs and symptoms, pathophysiology, Etiology, risk factors, diagnostic evaluation, management and health education, prevention by using attractive audio visual aids. Here students done a great job this seminar was effective to all peer group as well as other groups.
