WORLD IMMUNIZATION WEEK 2023
24 to 30 April is World Immunization Week. World Immunization Week, celebrated, aims to highlight the collective action needed and to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease. Through its convening power, WHO works with countries across the globe to raise awareness of the value of vaccines and immunization and ensures that governments obtain the necessary guidance and technical support to implement high quality immunization programmes. The ultimate goal of World Immunization Week is for more people and their communities to be protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Paediatric Department Nehru College of nursing organized a QUIZ competition on 29th April 2023 10.30 am at NCN Auditorium in accordance with World Immunization Week. The participants were IV year Bsc nursing students. Students were divided into 6 groups of 10 students in each group. There were 2 rounds that include a general round and an audio visual round. Questions were related to immunization and vaccines. All the students participated actively and Group 5 won the quiz. Dr.Prof.Srinivasan Gandhi, Principal ,Nehru College of Nursing congratulated and distributed prizes to the winners.
