WOLD AIDS DAY 2022
HIV became and continues to be a global health epidemic due to a number of shortcomings, including division, inequality, and contempt for human rights. World AIDS Day is observed annually on December 1. This is a chance for people all over the world to come together in the battle against HIV, to support those who are living with HIV, and to remember those who have passed away from an AIDS-related illness. The theme of WORLD AIDS DAY 2022 is EQUILIZE. This theme emphasizes the importance of addressing the inequalities that sustain the HIV /AIDS epidemic.
With regards to the world AIDS day 2022 a grant awareness program was organized with mutual effort of Community Health Nursing Dept. Nehru College Of Nursing, Community Medicine Dept, P K. Das Institute of Medical Science, Vaniyamkulam and Pharmacology dept. of Nehru College of Pharmacy on Dec 1st 2022. The program was started with welcome address and unveiling the theme done by Mrs.JUBEENA (Associate Professor, PK Das Institute of Medical Science,Vaniyamkulam.) followed by The inaugural address o by Our Honorable Chairman & Managing Trustee Adv. Dr P.Krishnadas and felicitation by Dr. R.C.Krishnakumar ( Director Operations PKDIMS ) Our 2nd year BSc Nursing students had performed an outstanding street play which were focusing on the awareness for HIV. This was followed by an enhancing flash mob by the students of Nehru Pharmacy College, Pampady. The program was aimed to cover the major areas near the vaniyamkulam panchayath like shoranur, Ottappalam & pattambi. After the inaugural session & programs at PKDIMS the team started their journey of awareness which was officially flagged off by Honorable Chairman & Managing Trustee Adv. Dr P.Krishnadas.
