VISIT TO “ISSAC IMMANUAEAL MISSION” – OLD AGE HOME
Older people are important members of any society and therefore have the right to live in dignity in later life. Elderly care emphasizes the social and personal requirements of senior citizens who wish to age with dignity while needing assistance with daily activities and with healthcare The angels of the earth, who are at the forefront of taking full responsibility for the health care of the community, need to ensure the social health & care of every vulnerable person in the community.
Community health nursing department & the final year students of Nehru College of nursing organized a helping hand event to the residents of the ISSAC IMMANUAEAL MISSION old age home THIRUVILWAMALA on 22nd & 24th Sep 2022. The Zephyrs made the golden agers happy with games, laughter, songs and celebrations. Along with that, a nutrition fest was organized. In that the students have explained to the inmates regarding the importance of diet & the pattern of food they have to consume. The students themselves prepared delicious Kappa & Fish curry for the inmates & had it along with them. The days were full of joy & happiness both to the inmates & students which will let behind in heart forever.
