Saving our earth and its environment becomes highly important as it provide us food and water to sustain life. Our well-being solely depends on this planet it gives food and water to all living things so it is our responsibility to take care of it. That’s why each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. The Earth Day 2022 theme is ‘Invest In Our Planet’. Given that the time is short, the theme highlights the need for people to come together and start taking measures to protect biodiversity and the planet.”
Taking as a reminder that; for the mankind , to protect and safeguard the mother earth and its species is mandatory, for making Earth a better place for the coming generations, Nehru College of nursing had organized PRTHVI 2022 an initiate of planting an organic garden in the campus on world earth day 22nd April 2022. The basic theory in organic gardening is that “nature knows best.” organic garden nurture the ground and therefore all that springs above it through techniques or systems that are found in nature seek to live a cleaner, healthier existence & more in a earth friendly way. 1st year BSc Nursing Students & all the faculties of NCN together worked to build up the new organic garden in the NCN campus. Such a greater initiative offers the perfect intake of fruits and vegetables for the students & it decreases the amount of toxic chemicals that intake. It also makes the students aware that the only way to honour our mother earth is by creating balance in our lives and adopting eco-friendly habits, and by that we can make this planet a much better place to live in.
