One Day National Seminar on World Tuberculosis Day
Nehru Institute of Health Sciences conducted One Day National Seminar on World Tuberculosis Day on 24.03.2022 at 10.00 A.M at Seminar Hall, NIHS.
Ms.Kavisri, student of NIHS delivered the welcome speech and welcomed the gathering.
Dr. T. Dhanalakshmi, Course Coordinator, Nehru Institute of Allied Health Sciences addressed the gathering.
The Resource Person Dr.Thangavel M.Sc., Microbiology, Ph.D., Dean-School of Biosciences, Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore Head and Microbiologist at Shanthi Social Services, Coimbatore presented a seminar on topic tuberculosis.
He covered topics on the nomenclature of the bacterium causing TB, the mode of tramission, the pathogenesis, microbiological diagnosis, staining methods, treatment and prevention in detail. He had good interaction with the students of NIHS.
Prof.Dr.Vijayaraj Vediappan, Principal Nehru College Of Physiotherapy, felicitated the gathering.
On behalf of world TB day, our students were participated in poster presentation competition.
Finally the participants were judged and prizes were awarded.
The program was coordinated by Dr.D.Vignesh prabhu, Asst. Professor NCPT and Ms.M.Monisha, Tutor, NIHS.
Ms.Shabana Yasmeen student of NIHS delivered the vote of thanks.
