ANTI-RAGGING CAMPAIGN
Ragging is a disturbing reality in the higher education system of our country. Despite the fact that over the years ragging has claimed hundreds of innocent lives and has ruined careers of thousands of bright students, the practice is still perceived by many as a way of ‘familiarization’ and an ‘initiation into the real world’ for young college-going students. As ragging has become a menace, a cause of fear and shock for fresher’s in the country, it led to new laws that curb ragging. The ‘Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme’ aimed at making students aware of the laws of the country with respect to ragging and how it affects the lives of people victimised by it.
