Freshers’ Day-2021 | Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology
The Department of Science and Humanities of Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology organised Freshers’ Day-2021 on 10th November, 2021 at P.K Das Auditorium, T.M Palayam, Coimbatore. The function started with Tamilthai Vazhthu and Dr.P. Maniiarasan Principal, NIET welcomed the gathering on and off the dais. He informed all the details of the growth and achievements of NIET. He stated to use the resources available in our NIET and do the best for nation and society. He also added that the students of NIET were encouraged to come up with startup new innovative ideas -Entrepreneur through New Gen IEDC& TBI. He high-lighted that 80% passed out Students placed in reputed companies. He assured to the parents that NGI would definitely mould their children as Quality Engineering Professionals.
Honorable Chairman and Managing Trustee Adv. Dr.P. Krishna Das, (NGI) gave away Presidential addresss through virtual mode. He welcomed the chief guest and appreciated his achievements and also welcomed the parents, guests and students of 1st year (21-22 academic year). He expressed that there are 22 institutions under NGI and well experienced faculty members to mould the students. He addressed to the students to spend their time in a meaningful way to become entrepreneur/teacher. He added that faculty of NGI and placement cell would train the students for their betterment and encouraged the students to extend their wings by participating in all programmes conducted by NGI.
Er. Manickam Athappa Gounder Chairman &Managing Director, MAK Group -India &USA, President of Manu Neethi Foundation addressed the gathering. He started his speech in an enthusiastic way and rejuvenated the audience especially to the students that our death should be meaningful like our great leaders. He addressed the students to learn practically in which our mind and heart should be pure and happy. He stated that India is a great country and definitely India would be super power in another 10 years. He shared his experience which he had with our Former President Dr.J. Abdulkalam, where he ordered him to find affordable technology to keep our Mother Earth clean. He stated that in future our country needs more Engineers, so definitely golden opportunity will be there for future Engineers.
Dr.P. Krishnakumar CEO& Secretary (NGI) felicitated the address to the students of first year (21-22) Academic. He wanted the students to explore knowledge, transform, identify the skills with in oneself to become a great Engineer in future. He assured that NGI would shape the students to walk in right direction for the successful career and in their life.
Around 430 students and 670 parents attended the Freshers’ Day function. Dr. P. Krishnakumar CEO& Secretary (NGI) presented the memento to our Chief Guest Er. Manickam Athappa Gounder Chairman &Managing Director, MAK Group -India &USA, President of Manu Neethi Foundation.
