NGI Kovai Pedallers MTB Championship 2021

Nehru Group of Institutions (NGI) in association with Kovai Pedallers organised the Mountain Terrain Bike Championship 2021 on Sunday morning. More than 200 cycling enthusiasts participated in the competition that was held at the new ground in Palathurai. The contest was organised in three different race categories. The competition was organised adhering to all covid protocols.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the contest, Dr. P. Krishna Kumar, CEO and Secretary, NGI and Director of Kovai Pedallers said, “We’re delighted about the new initiative from Kovai Pedallers along with NGI for promoting young cyclists.”

All participants received a t-shirt. The first three winners of each category received cash reward, certificate and a medal. The organisers will lend a helping hand to those who wish to participate in district and state level competitions.

Commodore Ashok Rai, Commanding Officer, INS Agrani, Coimbatore participated as Chief Guest and declared the meet open.

K.S Mohammed Nijamudhin, National Athletic Trainer for Indian Railways gave away the prizes to the winners. The function was presided by Dr. P. Krishna Kumar, CEO and Secretary of NGI. R. S. Vignesh Kumar, Secretary, Kovai Pedallers association organized the race.
