INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION -2021

India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day and marking another milestone in the history of the world’s largest democracy.The day serves as a reminder of the struggle for independence and commemorates the valour of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the nation.

India’s 75thIndependence Day was held in a mesmerizing way in the campus of Nehru College of nursing, Panayur.

All the students assembled in neat, clean&tidy college uniform. The first session of the Independence Daystarted with a grand assembly at 08.45 am by following strict Covid protocol. The flag hoisting was done by Prof. Dr. Kavitha Mole P J, Principal, Nehru College of Nursing and everyone saluted the National Flag which created a different ambiance in the premises. The Principal delivered Independence Day message to the students.                      Mr. Anshid Rahiman, College Union Chairman delivered the oath, followed by patriotic songs by 4th and 1st B. Sc. Nursing students and National Anthem.

Prof. Kumari Haripriya. O. B, Vice principal, Mr. Abdul Nisthar T.A, NSS Coordinator,           Mr. Jayakrishnan. P, Office Superintendent, Ms. Remya Ramachandran, Ms. Sherin Thomas, Mr. Aravindhaksha. K, Ms.Shashilekha, were also present on the occasion.

After dispersing assembly the students cleaned the college ground as part of “Swatchata Pakwada Fortnight“.

The Independence Day is recognised as that of national pride and honour & this ways of celebrations promotes nationalism and patriotism towards the Nation among the students.
