Nehru Women Excellence Award’2020
Nehru Arts and Science College has initiated the Nehru Centre for Women Excellence on 7th November 2017 with the aim of providing various training, awareness and life-guiding program to the female students and rural and urban women to compete with the competitive world. The center has various plans to elevate the lifestyle and social status of women. Other women related committees such as Sexual Harassment, Women Empowerment and Grievance Redressal are functioning in the college under the able guidance of Nehru Centre for Women Excellence.
The 2020 Nehru Women Excellence Awards is to honour the inspirational women around us who are distinguished for their outstanding work within one of the fields that we have selected. Our aim is to empower women. The NWEA hopes to encourage more women to become more visible and not hide their potential but showcase their skills and abilities to bring positive change in the world. This platform hankers to bring more gender balance and equality.
We have created eight different platforms and we will be awarding 35 excellent women on 8th March 2020. Ms.Swarnalatha.J, Disability Rights Activist, the Chief Guest of the day will honour the awardees on the day.
