Nehru Institute of Technology holds 8th Convocation
Nehru Group of Institutions Chairman and Managing Trustee Adv.Dr.P.Krishna Das preside over the Convocation ceremony and CEO & Secretary Dr.P.Krishna Kumar in his felicitation address congratulated the graduates for their present employability.
Chief Guest Prof. Gnanamoorthy and founder director of IIITDM Kancheepuram and Sr. Professor at IIT Madras delivered the Graduation Day address and distributed then degree certificates.
Principal Dr.K.P.Arulshri welcomed the Graduates, administered the graduation pledge and presented the report.
Nehru Institute of Technology has bagged two Anna University Ranks in Aeronautical Engineering and Construction Engineering & Management and 100 Under Graduate and Post Graduate students are awarded .And 80% Percentage of the graduates are working in various Software and Core Companies like Savvy Soft Technology, CTS, Big Sun Technology, TVS sundaram, LGB,TAFE,FORD, Byju’s, Wipro, Karvy Stock Broking, L&W Construction, Sree Vedha Associates, Golden Falcon Aviation, Lufthansa Airlines, Sonovision Aetos.

Prof Gnanamoorthy, former and founder director of IIITDM Kancheepuram, the Centrally Funded Govt of India Institution and Sr. Professor at IIT Madras, in his convocation address at NIT, congratulated the graduating students and the motivating forces behind their success, the parents and college administration. He admired the educational services offered by the Nehru Group for the last half a century and mentioned that their experience in the wide sector of educational services would have benefited the graduating students. He has expressed that the graduating students are one among the few percent in the World who had the opportunity to get the professional degree. And also mentioned that they are currently in a period where India is becoming the country of destination by the international community for various reasons including the availability of skilled youth population. Professor also emphasized that the quality of engineering education offered now is relooked by the top level. Engineering needs to be practiced and that is lagging in our system. Professor also expressed the need to have better entry level cutoffs to rise the level of graduates and bring back the glory of engineering education. Engineering is a still a profession with great job opportunities. He asked the students to develop a positive attitude in life and develop the habits that will help them to be a positive thinker which is needed for a successful career.
