SHRI P. K. DAS Memorial Best Faculty Award & Life Time Achievement Award 2019
Nehru Group of Institutions has been instituting Shri P. K. Das Memorial Best Faculty Award & Life Time Achievement Award from 2009 on December 15th of every year, remembering the birth date of the Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das.
Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College, in his welcome address congratulated the winners whole heartedly. He introduced Adv. P. Krishnadas, Chairman&Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions, Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of NGI, Chief Guest, Dr.R.SRINIVASAN Member Secretary Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology, Chennai. Dr.B.Ilango,Chief Jury, Former Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University.
Adv. P. Krishnadas, Chairman & Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions presided over the function. He congratulated the winners and encouraged the spectators to achieve the same in future. He insisted that the growth of this great institution lies in vision of his father, beloved Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das. He stated that the quality of NGI is in the hands of the faculty members. He also dignified the Guru is placed before even God.
Dr.R.SRINIVASAN Member Secretary Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology was the Chief Guest for this award ceremony. In his address, he emphasized the purpose and scope for the teachers to upgrade their knowledge. He praised the great vision of the Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das and his strong will of starting the education institutions in those days and was emphatic that everyone should get visionary from great people.
Dr.K.KULANDAIVEL, Former Chancellor, Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore in his address pinpointed that being a teacher one must transform the thought to action. He spoke about the importance of research stating that “everything is available in India and we should not depend on other countries for anything. The problem in India is that we are not giving importance to accountability of thoughts and ideas. In foreign countries faculties strive hard to maintain the consistency in their domain. Indian faculties should hone their skills to compete with the emerging global needs.”

Honorary Speech

Teach the students about the logical thinking and mold their mind, building of great nation is in teacher’s hands.
Chief Guest
Dr. R. SRINIVASAN Member Secretary Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology Chief Guest of the day. He congratulated and thanked for the service NGI is doing to the teaching fraternity. He also regretted for not getting the opportunity to meet our founder chairman late. P.K. Das. But he is happy for meeting the two sons of the visionary who are fulfilling the service of their father.
He also replied to the point about honesty that everybody who takes up a job has to be honest. The awardees should take up the responsibility of educating the student community. The institutions have taken efforts to find the best of the teachers. He suggested that teachers would work hard to enlighten the students. NGI is doing a great service to the teaching fraternity and the student community which no other institution is doing. He told the awardees that they will not have another day such as this so that they can enjoy the day.
LTA Honorary Award Speech
Dr.K.KULANDAIVEL, Former Chancellor, Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore was the honorary life Time Achievement awarder. In his address, he emphasized the purpose and scope for the teachers to upgrade their knowledge. He praised the great vision of the Founder Chairman Late P. K. Das and his strong will of starting the education institutions in those days and was emphatic that everyone should get visionary from great people. Teacher should teach the students about the team work and motivate the fellow members and if they poor in performance help them to do better way fly in team to achieve their goal this is not only students and also teachers if any fellow teacher feel low please motivated he /she to move head if your low no smile in your face don’t go to the class because at the time you’re not give right content. Every day you should get the feel of you done a great job when it comes if you feel good and happy to teach in the class room. The society has given big responsibility to the teacher and the teacher should realize that. The parents should be aware of their children and their active in academics it help the students lot. The important thing in teaching is communicate students every day apart from our teaching it give new power to the students .As a teacher motivate your students to work in team and achieve more. I congratulate the award winners and their family.
