Annual College Day Celebrations – Nehru Institute of Technology

The Eleventh Annual Day of our college, is a significant day for all of us gathered here and it’s a day of retrospection ! . It all started with a holy man and his vision! It is a day for us to recall the noble vision of our Founder Chairman Late Shri P.K.Das and celebrate our achievements in the field of education.

I am honoured and privileged to welcome Dr.P.Suriya Narayanan, Motivational Speaker and Retd.Professor (English), Government arts College, Coimbatore to our College. Thank you Sir, for consenting to be here as our Chief Guest for the College Day Celebrations of  Nehru Institute of Technology.

I extend my Warm Welcome to Managing Trustee, CEO & Secretary, who is our guiding force for entire NGI Family.

I am happy to welcome all the Deans,  Heads of Departments, Directors, Members of the Faculty,  Administrative and Support Staff, Non-Teaching Staff , Parents, Alumnae and My beloved Students.

Introduction

Nehru Institute of Technology (NIT) was started in the year 2008  by our Late Chairman Shri P.K.Das. The Institute offers various courses in both engineering and management Studies. With the Blessings from Almighty and with the Guidance and support of  our Chairman, Trustees, Advisory Board and Academic Council Members, Principal, Faculty, Parents, Well Wishers and Students, We could continue to maintain good reputation among new generation Colleges in the state.

I take great pleasure in presenting the Annual Report of Nehru Institute of Technology for the year 2018-19 documenting its developments and achievements. The year 2018-19 was marked with many events and success stories.  This can be attributed to the dedication and team spirit of the members of the Management, Staff and Students. On this wonderful day, when we have gathered here to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of all achievers.

The number of Anna University rank achievers is on the rise every year. Students are adjudged on various factors and awarded the Best Outgoing Student Award every year.

• JEBI JOSEPH J V of Aeronautical Engineering has Secured 21^st rank in Anna University Examinations (2017-2018)
• Shifana Parveen of MBA has secured 34^{th t} rank in Anna University Examinations (2017-2018)

• ARPANA SANKER & ROYSON VERGHEESE of Final Year are  adjudged as first and second best outgoing student from Aeronautical Engineering
• APOORVA & GAYATHRI of Second Year are  adjudged as first and second best outgoing student from Aeronautical Engineering
• of final year MBA is adjudged as the best outgoing student for his Multiple Offers, 100% Attendance, Good Academic Records, Participation  in various events and coordinator for various In-House Events.
