Aerophilia 2019

An in-house function Aerophilia 2019 was held on 15 March 2019 at Nehru College of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences, Coimbatore. This function was organized by students of B.Sc,(Aeronautics), BBA (Aviation) and MBA (Airline and Airport Management) with a view to display the various skills of the students. Competitions on paper presentation, poster preparation, Adzap, group discussion and quiz were conducted and large number of students took part with enthusiasm in these events.

Mr. Timothy Vedhanayagam CEO Advantech Datalink Solutions was the chief guest of this function. Dr. P. Krishna Kumar CEO & Secretary of Nehru Group of Institutions gave the presidential address and Dr, P.R.Balaji, Dean, Academic affairs, gave the welcome address. The chief guest Mr. Timothy Vedhanayagam has explained about various devices invented by him. One of the devices is to avoid human and wildlife conflict in and around Coimbatore. This device is an early warning system to alert forest official before the wild elephants entering into the village. He also invented goggles using sonar for the blind people to visualize the object in front of them. He has offered a solution for communicating various college of Nehru Group of institutions located in different places using wireless communication system.
