The Lamp lighting ceremony for the batch 2018 -2022 was organized by the Nehru college of Nursing on 16/02/2019 at the college auditorium, Vaniyamkulam ottapalam,
The programme started at 2 pm with a silent prayer for the founder chairman and remembering the supreme sacrifices from Indian army who lost in Pulwama attack. The welcome speech was given by the principal Prof Tamilselvi P. And the presidential address by Mrs. Sumitha Krishnadas, Management Representative NGI, She remembered the contributions by the Florence Nightingale As a pioneer in the field of nursing and stressed on the importance of nurses in the health care team
The chief guest of the day was introduced Bt Mr. Sudhen Sumesh Kumar, Associate Professor, NCN followed By the address of The chief guest Prof Jospehine Jacquline Mary , Principal, SIMET college of Nursing, Palakkad. She also inculcated the values and professional ethics that the students should carry out while delivering the care to patients.
The nurses Pledge was administered to the students by the Principal of Nehru college of Nursing
The Lamps were offered to the students by the Vice Principal Prof Lavanya and Mrs, Sheena Associate professor and the other teaching faculty. The lamp lighting dedication song was sung by the first year BSc Nursing students. The program was felicitated by Mr. Ramachandran PTA President
The distinguished guests and the spectators was thanked by Mr. Abdul Nisthar Asst professor and it was concluded with National anthem.
