AME – Training at Air India – Thiruvananthapuram | Nehru College of Aeronautics & Applied Sciences

Nehru College of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences, Coimbatore is extremely happy to inform that we have an agreement with Air India Engineering Services Limited to provide practical training for our AME students at Thiruvananthapuram base. Accordingly, AME batch no 88, our first semester AME students of B2 category (avionics) as per new CAR 147 approval which is at par with EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), successfully completed the eight days of training at Air India, Thiruvananthapuram from 26.11.2018 to 04.12.2018. For the other batch AME 87 of category B1.1 (Turbine engine Aeroplane), the training is in progress which has commenced on 29.11.2018. They will be completing the eight days of training on 07.12.2018.

As per the new arrangement, the students are getting a wonderful training and exposure on the latest Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Each student will undergo the practical training on live aircraft and systems for 360 hours. The students will undergo this practical training in every semester which will help them a lot in becoming great Aircraft Maintenance Engineers of tomorrow.
