Inauguration of Scientific and Academic Forum & CME on Infections and Arthritis
Inauguration of Scientific and Academic Forum (SAF) and CME on “Infections & Arthritis” held on 23rd October 2018, between 2-5 PM at P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences.
Editors of renowned textbook of medicine ‘Davidson’s Principles and Practice of Medicine Professor Stuart H Ralston (Arthritis Research, UK, Professor of Rheumatology, University of Edinburgh; Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, UK) and Dr Richard Hobson (Consultant Microbiologist, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust; Honorary Senior Lecturer, University of Leeds, UK) inaugurated the forum and delivered guest talk to the gathering at CME.
Principal Dr.Gopakumaran Kartha welcomed the guests and the audience, Message from Dr. P Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of Nehru Group of Institutions was read out by Sreelakshmi Suraj, Dr. CP Krishnakumar, Director (Operations) PKDIMS presided over the function. Medical Superintendent Dr.S Viswanathan, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr.Sajid Mohammed, Administrative Manager Mr.Sreenivas were present during the program. Dr. Pramod Kumar GN, SAF Secretary, proposed vote of thanks.
After the inauguration of SAF, Dr. K Neelakantan Viswanathan, President of SAF introduced the speakers to audience. Professor Stuart H Ralston delivered talk on arthritis, Dr. Richard Hobson spoke about infections in an integrated manner. Faculty members and students interacted with the guest speakers. Signature campaign for students those who are possessing the Davidson’s Textbook was also organised. The editors of the book also shared their experience and gave a message to students through video record.
