SCIENCE FEST 2018 – STATE LEVEL SCIENCE PROJECT COMPETITION
Nehru Institute of Technology (NIT) has been selected for financial grant from Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST), Chennai and National Council for Science and Technology Communication, New Delhi. (NCSTC) to popularise Science and technology among masses under “Popularisation of Science” scheme.
Under this scheme, State level science Project Competition “Science Fest 2018” was held at NIT on 6th OCT 2018.
About forty school students from various schools and students of Mechanical Engineering dept. displayed their models during the competition. Thirty one working models explaining basic principle of Science and Technologies were displayed.
Dr. R. Mohankumar, HoD, Mechanical Dept, welcomed the Participants. Dr.N. Rajkumar, Principal, NIT, delivered felicitation address. Mr.K. Karthic, Managing Partner, Sakthi Drives LLP was the chief Guest.
Six best models of school students were selected from competition as winners. Cash prizes were given to winners. Certificates and motivational books were given to all school students.
Mr.S. Srinivasan, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Dept., Coordinated the program and delivered vote of thanks.
