PK Das Memorial Best Teacher & life Time Achievement Award 2018
Coimbatore, January 7th, 2018: Shri P. K. Das Memorial Best Teacher and Life Time achievement award 2018 were presented at a function organized by Nehru Group of Institutions at Visweswara Seminar Hall, Nehru Institute of Technology, Jawaharlal Gardens Kaliyapuram near here on Sunday.
The awards were presented to school teachers from Tamil Nadu and Kerala in memory of
Shri P. K. Das, Founder chairman of Nehru Group of Institutions. Life Time Achievement Award was also presented to 4 teachers from Tamil Nadu and Kerala and one Best Principal award. BTA awardees, 21 teachers from Physics, 22 teachers for Mathematics, 11 teachers from computer science and 21 teachers from chemistry.
Dr. N. Rajkumar, convener Nehru Institute of Technology, welcomed the teaching fraternity, the guest, award winners. Chief Guest Dr. KAVIDASAN, Director (HR), Roots Industries India Ltd., Coimbatore presented the awards in the presence of Dr P. Krishnakumar, CEO and Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions.
Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of NGI, in his presidential address he wishes all the awardees. He encouraged the teachers to update their knowledge and qualification to meet the need of young minds. He states that the quality of NGI is in the hands of the faculty members. He also dignified the Guru is placed before even God. He also states that the Inspirational teacher often see more in students than what students see in themselves and helps students to become what they want to become.
Dr. KAVIDASAN, Director (HR), Roots Industries India Ltd., Coimbatore, in chief guest address, he praised the great vision of the Founder Chairman Late Shri. P.k. Das. He stressed the importance of the teachers’ role in motivating the students to cope up with updated skills. He expressed his hearty wishes to the Award winners and Nehru Group of Institutions for giving such a prestigious award. He insisted that teachers’ role is to inculcate the necessary skills in the mind of the students to cope up with current scenario. He also pin – pointed, that being a teacher one must transform the thought to action.
