Esistenza – Valedictory
Nehru Arts and Science College organized Esistenza – 2017, the South Zone Inter- School Competitions on 18th August 2017 for Tamil Nadu Zone. Students from Various parts of Tamil Nadu were participated. More than 1450 students from 16 schools participated in the competitions held On-Stage and Off-Stage. They are benefited by this competition. More fabulous prizes were announced for the Winners.
The Valedictory and prize distribution function was held at 4.00 p.m. Cash Prizes, Certificates, Medals and Trophy for the overall winners worth Rs. 3,00,000 were distributed to all the winners.
Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, NASC welcomed the chief Guest, CEO & Secretary and all the students and the winners of various competitions. He stated that all the participants would have enjoyed the programmes.
Mr. Sam Paul. V from Hindusthan Matric, Hr, Sec, School, Coimbatore, was selected as Mr. Esistenza and Ms. Karthika. S from Govt, Girls, Hr, Sec School, Chinnathadagam was selected as Ms. Esistenza. Hindusthan Matric, Hr, Sec, School, Coimbatore, was selected as the overall champions. Best staff coordinator award was given to Jayakrishnan. M Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Ashokapuram
Dr. P. Krishankumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions delivered presidential address in which he spoke on the importance of taking part in competitions than winning and congratulated and distributed certificates and prizes to all the winners.
Ms. A. Shenbagavalli, Principal, Hidusthan Matric, Hr, Sec, School, Coimbatore, thanked the management for such an opportunity. She spoke with reference to Thirukkural and said that only when children learn continuously, their knowledge will get enriched. The competitions really help the students to bring out their hidden talents as diamond is brought out of earth and made to glitter. She added that the talents of students if held within them will not give them joy but it should be brought out like a tower light which lights its surroundings. One cannot simply attain success in life without hard work instead they should strive hard to succeed.
Dr. D. Kannan, Dean, Computer Science, in his felicitation address pointed out that students have exhibited their talents in an excellent way and shoule continue the same spirit in the coming years also. He also pointed that success and defeat are the two sides of a coin and should be treated equally.
